Dissolution of the polymeric nitridotechnetic(VI) acid in aqueous HF results in the formation of the [TcNF 4 ] – anion. The presence of the paramagnetic anion in such solutions can readily be confirmed by EPR spectroscopy. Addition of CsF or (NEt 4 )F gives orange‐yellow, diamagnetic solids of the compositions Cs 3 (NH 4 )[F 4 NTc(μ‐O)TcNF 4 ] and (NEt 4 ) 3 (NH 4 )[NF 2 Tc(μ‐O) 2 TcNF 2 ] 2 , respectively.
