The reactions of two equivalents of LGa {L = HC[C(Me)N(2,6‐ i Pr 2 C 6 H 3 )] 2 } with Sb X 3 ( X = Br, I, OEt) proceed with elimination of LGa X 2 and formation of Ga‐substituted distibenes [L( X )GaSb] 2 [ X = Br ( 1 ), I ( 2 ), OEt ( 3 )]. Compounds 1 to 3 were characterized by heteronuclear NMR ( 1 H, 13 C), IR and UV/Vis spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction.
