Reactions of bis(phosphinimino)methanes H 2 C(PPh 2 N R ) 2 [ R = SiMe 3 (L 1 H), Ph (L 2 H), 2,6‐ i Pr 2 ‐C 6 H 3 (DIPP) (L 3 H)] with Zn R 2 ( R = Me, Et) yielded the corresponding bis(phosphinimino)methanide zinc complexes LZnMe [L 2 ( 1 ), L 3 ( 2 )] and LZnEt [L 1 ( 3 ), L 2 ( 4 ), and L 3 ( 5 )]. Complexes 1 – 5 were characterized by heteronuclear NMR ( 1 H, 13 C, 31 P) and IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction.
