An α‐{P 2 W 18 O 62 } 6– ‐Based Supramolecular Hybrid Inorganic‐Organic Compound with Visible Light‐Driven Photocatalytic Properties

The α‐[P 2 W 18 O 62 ] 6– ‐based coordination polymer [Cu 2 (phen) 3 (H 2 O) 3 (P 2 W 18 O 62 )][Cu(phen) 2 (H 2 O)] · 5H 2 O ( 1 ) (phen = phenanthroline), was hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by single‐crystal and powder X‐ray diffraction, IR and UV/Vis diffuse reflection spectroscopy, and elemental analysis. Structural studies reveal that compound 1 exhibits a three‐dimensional (3D) supramolecular structure based on π–π and hydrogen bonding interactions. In addition, visible light driven photocatalytic experiments of compound 1 were also studied.
