The reaction of silver hexafluoridoantimonate with Ph 2 PCH 2 PPh 2 NSiMe 3 ( 1 ) in dichloromethane produces the dimeric complex [Ag(μ‐Ph 2 PCH 2 PPh 2 NSiMe 3 )] 2 [SbF 6 ] 2 ( 2 ), in which two heterobifunctional ligands 1 in the dication are N, P ‐chelated in a head‐to‐tail fashion to a [Ag ··· Ag] 2+ unit that exhibits an Ag ··· Ag contact of 2.8530(6) Å. Quantum theory of atoms‐in‐molecules (QTAIM) analysis of the bonding revealed an attractive interaction between the two silver atoms.
