Three two‐dimensional (2D) coordination complexes, namely [Ca 2 (HL) 2 (H 2 O) 5 ] n · 2 n H 2 O ( 1 ), [Sr(HL)(H 2 O) 3 ] n · n H 2 O ( 2 ), and [Ba(HL)(H 2 O) 3 ] n · n H 2 O ( 3 ) [H 3 L = 3‐(3‐carboxy‐phenoxy) phthalic acid], were synthesized by using the ligand H 3 L and alkaline earth metals. Structural analysis reveals that the structures of complexes 1 – 3 can be described as 2D networks with the point (Schälfli) symbol for net: {3 12 · 4 14 · 5 2 } topology. Additionally, the thermal stability and solid‐state luminescent properties of compounds 1 – 3 were investigated at room temperature. The quantum yield (QY) of compound 2 is 10.75 %, which is much higher than the QY of the free H 3 L ligand (QY H3L < 1 %).
