The cover picture shows the cationic cluster [Ru(Bi 8 ) 2 ] 6+ , which is part of the metal‐rich bromide Bi 39.67(7) Ru 2 Br 35.0(2) . The isolated Bi 8 2+ polycation was first described by Bernt Krebs in 1982. Here two of them coordinate a ruthenium(II) cation. The η 4 ‐coordination can be regarded as a multi‐center bonding, in which a combination of Bi‐6 p orbitals provides intra‐ligand Bi?Bi bonding and simultaneously acts as a donor towards the transition metal atom. A transfer of six electrons per polycation and thus an 18‐electron situation for the central atom can be inferred. More details are discussed in the article by Ruck et al. on pp. 2401ff.
