Two new coordination polymers, {[Cd 2 (cpb) 2 (bpa)(H 2 O)] · H 2 O}( 1 ) and {[Cd 2 (bda) 2 (bpa) 2 ] · 3H 2 O} ( 2 ) [H 2 cpb = 2‐(3′‐carboxyphenoxy) benzoic and H 2 bda = 2, 4'‐biphenyldicarboxylic acid; bpa = bis(4‐pyridyl)amine], were obtained from hydrothermal reactions of Cd 2+ ion with two asymmetric dicarboxylic acids and N‐donor ligand, respectively. Complex 1 features a two‐dimensional (2D) 5‐connected SnS topological net with Schläfli symbol (4 8 .6 2 ). Complex 2 also shows a 2D structure with 4‐connected sql topology with Schläfli symbol (4 4 .6 2 ). Furthermore, the photoluminescent properties of 1 and 2 were investigated.
