The cover picture shows a structure section of Ag 23 Te 12 X with X = Cl, Br, I featuring four different aspects. Silver is quasi‐molten in Ag 23 Te 12 X and the ions are distributed almost randomly within the anionic framework. The anion substructure is divided into three different parts the polyanionic Peierlsdistorted and disordered tellurium strands and the isolated Te 2− and the X − ‐anions. Taking non‐bonding distances around the sum of the van der Waals radii for Te 2− and X − into account the Te 2− ‐substructure can be regarded as a network of interpenetrating corrugated honeycomb nets, whereas the halide ions form linear strands along the c‐axis. The disordered tellurium strands are represented by closely neighboured double maxima positions fully embedded in the quasimolten silver substructure. More details are discussed in the article by O. Osters and T. Nilges on p. 297ff.
