Two new one‐dimensional chain coordination polymers were synthesized by reaction of 5‐methyl‐1‐phenyl‐1 H ‐1,2,3‐triazole‐4‐carboxylic acid (Hmptca) and CuCl 2 , or NiCl 2 , respectively, under hydrothermal conditions. Both have non‐centrosymmetric polar packing arrangements (polar point group C s ), which result in dielectric properties.
