Reactions of the monomeric β ‐diketiminate zinc complex MesNacNacZnMe (MesNacNac = {[2,6‐(2,4,6‐Me 3 –C 6 H 2 )‐N(Me)C)] 2 CH}) with ROH (R = Me, Et, i Pr) yielded the corresponding zinc alkoxides [MesNacNacZnOR] 2 (R = Me 1 , Et 2 , i Pr 3 ). In addition, the reaction of MesNacNacZnCl with various reducing agents such as potassium graphite, potassium, or sodium gave the Zn II complex [MesNacNac] 2 Zn 4 . Compounds 1 – 4 were characterized by elemental analyses, mass and multinuclear ( 1 H, 13 C{ 1 H}) NMR spectroscopy, and by single‐crystal X‐ray analysis.
