Luminescent Iron‐Platinum Multinuclear Complexes with Functionalyzed Acetylides The reaction of [(dippf) 2 PtCl 2 ] with 2,5 eq. of 5′‐diethinyl‐2,2′‐bipyrimidine in THF/diethylamine results in both the formation of [(dippf) 2 Pt(‐C≡C‐C 8 H 4 N 4 ‐C≡CH) 2 ] ( 1 ) and [μ‐(C≡C‐C 8 H 4 N 4 ‐C≡C){(dippf) 2 Pt(‐C≡C‐C 8 H 4 N 4 ‐C≡CH)} 2 ] ( 2 ) as minor product (dippf: 1,1′‐diisopropylphosphino‐ferrocene; C 8 H 4 N 8 : bipyrimidinediyl‐). The solid state structures of the complexes were determined by X‐ray crystallography. 1 and 2 are luminescent at room temperature. Quenchung of the emission was observed upon reaction of 1 with PdCl 2 or μ ‐dichloro‐tetraethylen‐dirhodium.
