A new Anderson‐type heteropolyanion‐supported nickel imidazole complex, [Himi] 2 [Ni(imi) 3 (H 2 O){Ni(OH) 6 Mo 6 O 18 }]·2H 2 O (imi = imidazole) ( 1 ) has been prepared by conventional aqueous solution synthesis and structurally characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction as well as by infrared spectroscopy, elemental and thermogravimetric analysis. Compound 1 possesses a one‐dimensional (1D) wave‐like infinite chain structure composed of Anderson‐type heteropolyanion [Ni(OH) 6 Mo 6 O 18 ] 4− covalently linked by [Ni(imi) 3 (H 2 O)] 2+ unit. Furthermore, the chains are extended into a 2D supramolecular framework in the ac plane via hydrogen‐bonding interactions.
