To investigate the interactions between noncovalent bond donor and acceptor giving rise to three dimensional networks, compound [Pb(tfpb) 2 ] n (Htfpb = 4,4,4‐trifluoro‐1‐phenyl‐1,3‐butanedione) has been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1 H NMR, and 13 C NMR spectroscopy and its crystal structure was investigated. The single‐crystal structure of the compound show the coordination number of Pb(II) to be eight with six O‐donor atoms from a “tfpb” ligand and two F‐donors from the anionic ligands. The supramolecular structure of 1 is realized by weak directional C–F···F–C and π–π stacking interactions.
