The synthesis and structures of four new compounds are reported. [Cu 2 (2‐sba)(dppm) 2 ] ( 1 ), [Ag 4 (2‐sba) 2 (PPh 3 ) 4 ] ( 2 ), [Ag 2 (2‐sbaH) 2 (PPh 3 ) 4 ] ( 3 ), [Ag(2‐sbaH)(PPh 3 ) 3 ] ( 4 ) (2‐sbaH 2 = 2‐sulfobenzoic acid) were prepared by treatment of 2‐sulfobenzoic acid anhydride with metal salts under anhydrous conditions ( 1 , 2 ) and in the presence of water ( 3 , 4 ).
