A lead(II) complex with 1,3‐di(4‐pyridyl)propane (bpp) and thiocyanate ligands, [Pb(μ‐bpp)(μ‐SCN) 2 ] n ( 1 ), has been synthesized and characterized by CHN elemental analysis, IR‐, 1 H‐ and 13 C NMR spectroscopy. The single crystal X‐ray data of compound 1 show that the complex is two‐dimensional coordination polymer and the Pb atom has less‐common six–coordinate holodirected arrangement.
