Two new mononuclear mixed‐ligand complexes [Cu(HL)(OAc)(dipyam)] ( 1 )·H 2 O and [Cu(HL)Cl(dipyam)] ( 2 )·Solv (HL = monoanionic lactate and dipyam = 2,2′‐dipyridylamine) have been synthesized and structurally characterized by X‐ray diffraction. The supramolecular association in these complexes have also been analyzed. In both cases the copper(II) ion is in a slightly distorted square‐pyramidal environment. The two complexes are extended into 3D networks, through hydrogen bonding alone in 1 and through both hydrogen bonding and π‐π interactions in 2 .
