Compounds of types [(AgPPh 3 )(HL)] and [Ag(PPh 3 ) 3 (HL)] {H 2 L = H 2 xspa: x = p (3‐phenyl‐), t [3‐(2‐thienyl)‐], f [3‐(2‐furyl)‐]; spa = 2‐sulfanylpropenoato} were synthesized and characterized by IR, 1 H, 13 C and 31 P NMR spectroscopy and FAB mass spectrometry. The structures of [(AgPPh 3 )(Htspa)] ( 2 ) and [Ag(PPh 3 ) 3 (Hpspa)] ( 4 ) were determined by X‐ray diffractometry. Complex 2 has a supramolecular structure based on hydrogen bonding between dinuclear units which can be seen as formed by Ag(PPh 3 )(Htspa) monomers connected by Ag‐S bonds, the metal atom in each monomer being O,S‐chelated. Complex 4 has a mononuclear structure with Ag‐S and Ag‐P bonds and an intramolecular hydrogen bond.
