Syntheses and Crystal Structures of [p‐Me 3 NC 6 H 4 HgOC(O)Me][MeOSO 3 ] and [(p‐Me 3 NC 6 H 4 ) 2 Hg][HgI 4 ] The carbene complexes [p‐Me 3 NC 6 H 4 HgOC(O)CH 3 ][MeOSO 3 ] ( 5 ) and [(p‐Me 3 NC 6 H 4 ) 2 Hg][HgI 4 ] ( 7 ) are obtained by alkylation of Me 2 NC 6 H 4 HgOC(O)Me ( 4 ) with Me 2 SO 4 or MeI. The crystal structures of 5 and 7 reveal the expected presence of Hg‐C single bonds in both complexes.
