Potassiumpolysulfides: [K(THF)] 2 S 6 and [K 2 (THF)]S 9 The polysulfide [K 2 (THF)]S 9 is accessible from reaction of S 8 with [KSPPh 2 (BH 3 )]. Degradation reaction of S 8 with [KPPh 2 (BH 3 )] results in [K(THF)] 2 S 6 . X‐ray quality crystals of [K(THF)] 2 S 6 (orthorhombic, Pbca ) and of [K 2 (THF)]S 9 (orthorhombic, Pbcm ) are obtained each from THF / diethyl ether solution at ambient temperature. According to the result of the X‐ray structural analysis, [K(THF)] 2 S 6 and [K 2 (THF)]S 9 contain a S 6 ‐ and S 9 ‐zigzag chain. The conformation of both polysulfide anions is all‐transoid.
