Treatment of [ p ‐ t Bu‐calix[4](OMe) 2 (OLi) 2 ] with two equivalents of BeCl 2 gave the unprecedented dinuclear beryllium complex [ p ‐ p ‐ t Bu‐calix[4](OMe) 2 (OBeCl) 2 ], which was structurally characterized, both in solution (NMR) and in the solid state (X‐ray structure analysis).
