Recyclable mesoporous ruthenium interphase catalysts have been synthesized by a surfactant‐templated sol–gel process. Their activity and selectivity in the direct hydrogenation of α,β‐unsaturated ketones are remarkably improved compared to their counterparts that were sol–gel processed without template molecules.
