Two cobalt coordination polymers [Co II 2 (ida) 2 (H 2 O) 2 ] n ( 1 ) and [Na 2 Co III 2 (ida) 4 (H 2 O) 4 ] n ·2nH 2 O ( 2 ) (H 2 ida = iminodiacetic acid) have been synthesized and characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis. Compound 1 exhibits a two‐dimensional framework, in which two cobalt atoms exhibit different coordination environments: one is equatorially coordinated by two ida ligands, while another is coordinated by two water molecules and four ida ligands. It is most interesting that, in compound 2 , the ida ligands exhibit different coordination modes. The organic coordination anions [Co III (ida) 2 ] — are linked up by sodium ions to form a two‐dimensional layer.
