Orange‐yellow plate‐like crystals of the title compound were obtained from the reaction of [Me 4 N] 2 WO 2 S 2 or [Me 4 N] 2 WOS 3 with CuCl and [Me 4 N]Cl in MeCN solution. They are hexagonal, space group P 6 3 cm (No.185), with unit cell parameters a = 11.638(4) Å, c = 17.970(7) Å, Z = 2. The crystal structure was determined from single crystal X‐ray diffraction data (MoKα‐radiation) and refined to R = 0.049. The structure is characterized as an alternating packing of cubane‐like [WOS 3 (CuCl) 3 Cl] 3‐ and Cl ‐ anions.
