The phosphenic chloride adduct Im—PO 2 Cl ( 4 , Im = 2, 3‐dihydro‐1, 3‐diisopropyl‐4, 5‐dimethylimidazol‐2‐ylidene) was prepared by partial hydrolysis of [Im—POCl 2 ]Cl ( 5 ) and characterized by X‐ray structure analysis.
