Interactions between Halogen Atoms in the Crystal of 2 ImIBr · Br‐CF 2 CF 2 ‐I (Im = 1, 3‐Diisopropyl‐4, 5‐dimethylimidazoly[1] 2, 3‐Dihydro‐1, 3‐diisopropyl‐4, 5‐dimethylimidazol‐2‐ylidene ( 3 , Im) reacts with Br‐CF 2 CF 2 ‐I to give the adduct 2 Im‐I‐Br · Br‐CF 2 CF 2 ‐I ( 5 ). The crystal structure analysis of 5 exhibits near linear C‐I‐Br interactions in addition to short Br‐Br and Br‐I contacts to the Br‐CF 2 CF 2 ‐I fragment.
