A series of zwitterionic molecules was synthesized by nucleophilc substitution between stanna‐ closo ‐dodecaborate and a series of alkyliodides like (ω‐iodo‐alkyl)trialkyl‐ammoniumiodides and 1‐(4‐iodobutyl)pyridiniumiodide. The structures in the solid state have been determined by X‐ray crystal structure analysis for Bu 3 N‐C 3 H 6 ‐SnB 11 H 11 ( 3 ), Pr 3 N‐C 4 H 8 ‐SnB 11 H 11 ( 6 ), Bu 3 N‐C 4 H 8 ‐SnB 11 H 11 ( 7 ) and C 5 H 5 N‐C 4 H 8 ‐SnB 11 H 11 ( 9 ).
