Reactions of S 4 N 4 with diphosphines, Ph 2 P(X)PPh 2 (X = NC 4 H 8 N, CH 2 CH 2 ) have resulted in the isolation of N 3 S 3 NPPh 2 (X)Ph 2 PNS 3 N 3 (X = NC 4 H 8 N, CH 2 CH 2 ), (S)PPh 2 (CH 2 CH 2 )Ph 2 PNS 3 N 3 , and (S)PPh 2 NC 4 H 8 NPh 2 P(S) as new compounds. These heterocycles have been characterized by analytical and spectroscopic (IR, UV‐VIS, 1 H and 31 P‐NMR, and MS) techniques.
