The MX 2 H 2 OC 2 H 5 OH (MSr, Ba; XCl, Br) system is investigated at 25°C. Regions for the equilibrium existence of following salts have been found: SrCl 2 · 6 H 2 O, SrCl 2 · 2 H 2 O, SrCl 2 · H 2 O, SrCl 2 , · 0.5 H 2 O, SrBr 2 · 6 H 2 O, SrBr 2 · H 2 O, BaCl 2 · 2 H 2 O, BaCl 2 · H 2 O, BaCl 2 · 0.5 H 2 O, BaBr 2 · 2 H 2 O, and BaBr 2 · H 2 O. The dehydrating and solvating properties with respect to the studied systems of ethanol are compared against methanol. The probable solvation of the tions in the saturated solutions is discussed on the basis of the solubility isotherms.
