Three compounds exist in the system TeO 2 Ta 2 O 5 : 3TeO 2 · Ta 2 O 5 (tetragonal), 2TeO 2 · Ta 2 O 5 (tetragonal and orthorhombic), and TeO 2 · 3Ta 2 O 5 (orthorhombie). The compounds previously denoted as 7TeO 2 · 3Ta 2 O 5 and 2TeO 2 · Ta 2 O 5 (high‐temperature form) are shown to be stable modifications of 2TeO 2 · Ta 2 O 5 (orthorhombie) and TeO 2 · 3Ta 2 O 5 , respectively.
