The thermal stability, IR‐ and ESR spectra, magnetic properties, electronic structure and the mechanism of the formation of the bromide octanuclear prismatic [Tc 8 Br 4 μBr 8 ]Br. 2 H 2 O ( I ); [H(H 2 O) 2 ][Tc 8 Br 4 μBr 8 ]Br ( II ), [H(H 2 O) 2 ] 2 [Tc 8 Br 4 μBr 8 ]Br 2 ( III ) and hexanuclear octahedral ([H 3 O(H 2 O) 3 ] 2 [Tc 6 Br 6 μ 3− Br 5 ] ( IV ); [C 4 H 9 ) 4 N] 2 [Tc 6 Br 6 μ 3 Br 5 ( V ); H 3 O(H 2 O) 3 ] 2 [Tc 6 Br 6 μ 3 Br 5 ]. 4 H 2 O ( VI )) clusters and also of hexabromotechnetium (IV) acid ((H 3 O) 2 [TcBr 6 ] ( VII ) have been studied. Synthesis, crystal and molecular structure of these compounds is described in the previous work [1]. It has been shown that compounds ( I )–( VI ) greatly differ in their physico‐chemical properties from the known clusters of other elements.
