27 Al n.m.r. spectroscopy of liquid phases obtained during zeolite A, X, and Y synthesis reveals that the amount and the type of the present soluble aluminosilicate anions is characteristic for the different zeolite type; the number of the formed SiOAl bonds and their variety increases with increasing content of SiO 2 . The results support the suggestion about the formation mechanism of zeolites via distinct aluminosilicate “precursors” in solution.
