The dehydration processes in the three‐component system MBr 2 CH 3 OHH 2 O (M = Sr 2+ , Ba 2+ ) have been studied at 25°C by physico‐chemical analyses. Crystallization fields for the lower crystal hydrates SrBr 2 · H 2 O and BaBr 2 · H 2 O have been found. The solubility curves exhibit complex‐formation processes. The dehydration and solvation processes in three‐component system such as MBr 2 CH 3 OHH 2 O at 25°C with M = Mg 2+ , Ca 2+ , Sr 2+ , Ba 2+ have been discussed in general terms.
