Complexes of IrH 3 (PPh 3 ) 2 with para‐ and meta‐substituted benzeneseleninic acids are reported and characterized by spectroscopic methods and molecular weight determinations. The complexes resulted of the type [IrH 2 (PPh 3 ) 2 (X–PhSeO 2 )], monomeric, with the ligand acting as bidentate seleninato‐O, Se. The possible stereochemistry of the complexes is discussed on the light of the obtained results.
