Synthesis and properties of dioxo [4‐(2‐pyridylazo)‐resorcinolo] vanadate(V) complexes are reported. By comparison with sodium, copper, cobalt, and niobium compounds of 4‐(2‐pyridylazo)resorcinol infrared spectra reveal characteristic bands for coordinated ligand and VO 2 group, respectively.
