Abstract Salts of the cis‐[Coen 2 (n‐C x H 2x+1 NH 2 )Cl] 2+ cations where x = 4–12 have been prepared, and their visible and infrared spectra measured. Rate constants for their solvolysis have been determined over a range of temperatures and activation parameters calculated. These spectral and kinetic data are briefly discussed.
