A new process for the preparation of 2‐alkoxyvinylphosphonates, ROCH CHP(O)(OEt) 2 (R CH 3 , C 2 H 5 , C 9 H 19 ) and 2‐(2‐hydroxyethoxy)vinylphosphonate, HOCH 2 CH 2 OCHCHP(O)(OEt) 2 , is described and the physical properties of the new products are reported.
