Dihalo bis‐thiourea zinc(II) complexes were reacted with a variety of ligands containing nitrogen donor atoms in a mixed solvent medium. The following mixed ligand complexes were characterised:[Zntu 2 Br 2 L 2 ] 0 where L = 3‐methyl, 4‐methyl, 4‐vinyl pyridine and isoquinoline; [ZntuBr 2 L 2 ] 0 where L = quinoline and 2‐methyl quinoline; [Zntu 2 I 2 L] 0 where L = 4‐methyl pyridine and [Zntu 2 Cl 2 L] 0 where L = isoquinoline. All are non‐electrolytic complexes and some of them are examples for less common penta‐coordination.
