FeS has a tetragonal unit cell with a 0 = 3.68 and c 0 = 5.04 Å and its space group belongs to P4/nmm (Fe in 0, 0, 0 and 1/2, 1/2, 0 and S in 0, 1/2, z and 1/2, 0, z where z = 1/4). The unit cell contains two formula units of FeS. The crystal structure was determined by means of texture pattern technique of an electron diffraction.
