The partition of thorium between hydrochloric acid solutions and solutions of di‐(2‐ethylhexyl)‐phosphoric acid (DEHPA) in kerosene has been investigated, and the mechanism of the extraction is discussed. The effect of organic solvent on extraction has also been examined.
