N‐Bromobistrifluoromethylamine, (CF 3 ) 2 NBr reacts with NO 2 , NO and CO to yield (CF 3 ) 2 NONO, (CF 3 ) 2 NNO and (CF 3 ) 2 NCOBr, respectively. The reaction of (CF 3 ) 2 NBr with unsaturated hydrocarbons and fluorocarbons has been confirmed, reaction with C 2 H 4 C 2 H 2 and C 2 F 4 giving (CF 3 ) 2 NC 2 H 4 Br, (CF 3 ) 2 NC 2 H 2 Br and (CF 3 ) 2 NC 2 F 4 Br. Reaction with AgCN yields CF 3 N CF 2 , and that with Ag 2 CO 3 , CF 3 N NCF 3 , as the chief product.
