It has been established by the method of monovariation and that of JOB'S continuous variation using pH and electrical conductance in the former method while only conductances in the latter, that Mn(II) forms a (1:1)‐complex with trisodium citrate. The value of dissociation constant of the system Mn(II)‐citrate is 1.45 10 −3 as found by the method of continous variation. A probable structure of the complex has been assigned from the knowledge of a series of pH titrations.
