Zirconium forms a soluble reddish brown complex with 2‐(4‐Sulfonaphthylazo)‐1,8‐dihydroxy‐2′‐nitrosonaphthalene‐3,6‐disulfonic acid, allowing the spectrophotometricdetermination of Zirconium. Several ions interfere the determination if they are present.
