Measurements of viscosity, surface tension and refractive index on a series of mixed solutions of Barium bromide and Carbamide indicated the existence of four complex compounds in solution, viz., 2BaBr 2 · CO(NH 2 ) 2 , BaBr 2 · CO(NH 2 ) 2 , BaBr 2 · 2 CO(NH 2 ) 2 and BaBr 2 · 4 CO(NH 2 ) 2 . The results are in excellent agreement with those obtained by calculating rheochor, parachor and molecular refraction.
