Unterphosphorsäure H 4 P 2 O 6 wurde erhalten durch Oxydation mit Jod der Produkte der Hydrolyse von PBr 3 bei pH = 5,7. Die Ausbeute von H 4 P 2 O 6 war 55% des Phosphors in dem Phosphortribromid.
