An equation was derived to calculate the x‐ray tube spectrum from a massive anode and scattered from a homogeneous flat target. The spectrum function of molybdenum anode radiation scattered from a boron carbide polarizer was calculated. Copyright © 2004 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
