Abstract X‐ray K‐absorption spectra of seven structurally important copper(II) mixed‐ligand complexes were recorded using a 0.4 m radius Cauchois‐type bent crystal x‐ray spectrograph. The spectra of the complexes were recorded in both the solid and in aqueous solution. The observed x‐ray parameters, e.g. chemical shifts, edge widths, shift of the principal absorption maximum and structure of the K‐edge, were used to interpret the proposed structure of the complexes.
