Sulfur analysis by XRF cannot, as yet, be carried out concurrently with analyses of major elements. As a result, several alternative means of analysing for sulfur by XRF have been devised. One such analytical method, suitable for analysing sulfur in rocks containing one sulfide‐bearing phase, is presented here. The accuracy and precision of this method, at the 95% confidence level, are 9.8% and 4.4%, respectively.
