A computer method for the qualitative analysis of fluorescence spectra recorded with any analysing crystal and using any wavelength‐dispersive x‐ray spectrometer is described. Originally, the programs are designed for an Olivetti P 6066 computer without being on‐line with the spectrometer. These programs may, of course, also be used with slight modifications with higher capacity and on‐line computers, thus making the analysis easier and faster.
