Utilizing artificially prepared powder pellets of samples, enhancement effects have been evaluated between the following pairs of elements: FeCa, FeSi, CaSi and SiAl. The experimental data suggest that in X‐ray fluorescence analysis of powdered rocks, for the considered elements over a very large range of concentrations, the enhancement effect can be regarded as a negative absorption.
